VDM Members visit the new Restaurant in town: Frango Maluko
The social team spotted a new restaurant in town and it was rumored to serve excellent food for a reasonable price, so a decision to post a sign-up sheet was quickly taken. In spite of the fact, that several VDM-mers returned to their home-country already, it was good to see some 25 people participating.
The chosen dinner was advanced by nibbles, followed by a choice of appetizer (either the soup or the melon-with-monchique-ham); a superb half duck chinese style; desert and coffee. The dinner included all the wine one could drink. All of this for the price of 16.50. And it was a culinary delight, enjoyed by all, up to and including the free porto served when the bill was paid.
In addition some had a different drink than the wine, such as beer or water. It was rumored that this was substituting the wine and included, but this proved to be untrue, so last minute an extra euro per person was needed to fill the bill (thank you Chris and Michael).
The ambiance was great. The evening was decorated by life-music and some even managed to ask for their favorite tune... How much better can it get for so little money!
Let us repeat the good words Chris spoke at the end and thank Dawn and Nellie for organizing. Well spotted opportunity and we all appreciated all the running Dawn did to get menu's sorted!
Last but not least, Rosalinda got a promotion and was volunteer Event-Photographer. She also took some amazing shots. Click the picture below to see the full set.
