A new Year…. New Challenges for 2012. This year Peter Hopwood takes on as Captain for the VDM Golfclub and Robert Verasdonck is resigning from being the web publisher. Andrew de Freitas has volunteered to take on this role, but of course he needs a bit of time to get worked into his new area of opportunities. So with a bit of time the new publisher will bring new elements for you to enjoy. For now we will support the change into the new, but not as frequently as before initially. Enjoy Golf and we wish you all a happy new year!
Year-end is nearing. The Vale-de-Milho members had their X-mas Competition and a very special Christmas dinner on December 4th. Read all about is on the Social Page with SlideShow and Editorial for the 2012 X-mas event!
The minutes of the AGM were posted on the website in the member-area. You need the name and password (use the email form on the website to ask me if you forgot.)
In the social section there is an opportunity to send postcards. Some new postcards are posted, including the group picture in the lobby. Check it out.
November: The monthly Medal Competition, but this time the sponsors were unable to be present and we are thankful they insisted the event takes places as planned. We suggest you read and see the pictures under the social Events listed as "November Medal"
Another "highlight-of-the-year". The end of October was filled with the usual monthly medal, unusually attractive this time! and the end of the rounds for the club championships. Read "Club News" and click the October button to see the results. And then do go to the Social Events section to see and read the October Medal.

Nuevo Portil Two – The VDM Members did their annual trip to Spain and due to the good "value-for-money" for the second time in row to the same place. New events, new winners. Look under Social Events for the page Nuevo Portil.
What do Beer-Feste and Vale de Milho have in common? Go to the Golf Pro page and click the button of "Past Activities" (where you'll find "Beerfeste" listed as first item). You are only one click away from the smell of beer in the clubhouse.
Michel and Lilly sponsored the September medal 2011 and as usual this year, the "White Header" was embedded into the format. A Field full of competing amateurs went to play golf and enjoyyed a Medal Diner afterwards. For those wanting more…. jump to the social section and read the medal September page.
Dave published the initial September results (See Club News - September) and Lloyd made sure the latest handicap list is now available.
Slowly we are cooling down to working temperature and wonder what's going on after-summer. Well, the Captain published the new fixtures for the coming months, so satisfy your curiosity and have a look at the "Fixtures Page".
The Golf Pro has extended the information with a lessons-tariff, specially for VDM Members. So, start improving your Golf and take some Lessons.

Click on all tabs and see the new additions and also some of the old goodies.The first quarter fixtures are published and the dates for the Spain trip as well as the annual Christmas dinner are set, so mark your agenda's and don't miss out. (I am sure Graham takes reservations from now on until he's fully booked!)
And, Dave Cottrell pushes the results forward and on a regular basis you can see the competition results under the menu "Club News" and then click the respective button: "JAN" shows you the January Results - so far.

- The first page is the HOME page: Here you find the most recent additions to this website.
- A click on the header (Vale de Milho Golfsociety) always brings you back to the home page.
- Underneath the header picture is a "Menu" to choose from. Move the cursor over a menu item (e.g. "Golf Games") and see the color change to indicate that it is active and also If the cursor changes to a 'hand' then you can click the item. More options do fold out if they are present.
- While reading a page you will note many items that may be active: pictures and blue text (turning to underlined burgundy text when moving the cursor over it). You will see that the cursor will change into a hand if moving over such an item. This means you can click it and see extra information.
- Nothing can go wrong, so just click and discover. The way back to the beginning is either to click 'Home' or the header to go back to the beginning.
